And the audience couldn't agree more as they chorused, 'We love you Shaan!'.

The host Anmol said, "Kuch log hotein hain jinke talent se hum pyaar kartein hain, aur kuch aise gine chune log hotein hain jinke talent se hum utna hee pyaar kartein hain, jitna uss insaan se pyaar kartein hain. One of the biggest audience favourites, singer Shaan, got multiple requests for encore which could not be honoured due to lack of time. Songs from films including 'Khiladi' (1992), 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (1995), 'Khamoshi: The Musical' (1996), 'Yes Boss' (1997), 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' (1998), 'Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha' (1998), 'Mohabbatein' (2000), 'Hum Tum' (2004) and 'Fanaa' (2006), too, cast their spell. Even after two decades, the duo’s compositions like 'Bin Tere Sanam' ('Yaara Dildara', 1991) and ' Pehla Nasha' ('Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar', 1992), which continue to be popular, received thunderous applause from Mumbaikars when they were performed on stage. The fact that the composers, the original musicians as well as the original singers, were all present on one stage made this an evening to remember.

The guest of honour, Javed Akhtar, regaled people with interesting anecdotes. While singers Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Shaan, Babul Supriyo, Vijayta Pandit, Sadhana Sargam and Mamta Sharma entertained everyone on stage, the composer duo’s sisters, Sulakshana Pandit (who made an appearance after 25 years for this special event) and Vijayta Pandit (who also sang on stage) were seen at the show hosted by Anmol.
